Retirement and Death Gratuity Extended to Central Govt Employees Under Unified Pension Scheme:

Through a notification dated 24 January 2025, the Ministry of Finance has extended the benefits of retirement gratuity and death gratuity to Central Government employees who opt for the Unified Pension Scheme (UPS) under the National Pension System (NPS), effective from 1 April 2025.
