B.S. Patil sworn in as Karnataka Lokayukta

  • Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot administered the oath of office to Justice Patil at a ceremony in Raj Bhavan, Bengaluru.
  • Justice Patil, who also served as the Upalokayukta of Karnataka.
  • The move to appoint Justice Patil as the Lokayukta comes nearly six months after the tenure of the previous Lokayukta, Justice Vishwanath Shetty, ended in January.
